Course Summary:
Javier Castillo and Tony Rosado will be offering a 3-day course designed to prepare interpreters to pass the Federal Court Interpreter Certification Oral Exam.
There will be a full analysis of the exam, section by section.
The focus of this course will be on improving test-taking strategies, enhancing sight, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting skills, and recognizing and correcting common errors.
Participants will also receive the benefit of personalized instruction and critique in order to improve their skills.
This course is open to anyone.
Although the focus will be on the skills required for passing the FCICE oral exam, being registered to take the exam is not a requirement for attending this course. The advanced skills and techniques will be beneficial to interpreters looking to improve their overall performance.
Seating will be limited and registration is on a first come first serve basis.
In-person course subject to minimum enrollment and will move online if this is not met.
Registration is non-refundable and will apply to online version if needed.
