Course Summary:
Building upon the skills and techniques from our Fundamentals of Note Taking course, in this language-neutral 3-hour webinar, participants will work on sharpening their listening, memory and note taking skills to improve their renditions for interpreting witness testimony and ensuring an accurate record. Participants will have the opportunity to practice using transcripts from actual proceedings. You will receive a document containing the links to the slides and the video recording.
It is not required but highly suggested that participants have previously taken Fundamentals before taking this course, which is also available for purchase/download.
About the Instructor:
Javier Castillo, Jr. is president of Castillo Language Services, Inc. in Greenville, NC and is a conference interpreter, Federally Certified Court Interpreter, NC AOC certified court interpreter, Certified Medical Interpreter, (CCHI) and contract interpreter for the U.S. Department of State.
Castillo has provided training workshops since 2007 for court, medical, conference and community interpreters and is a frequent speaker at international and national conferences.
