Interpreting Is A Performance Art - Act I (On-Demand)
1-HOUR RECORDED WEBINAR
Instructor: Javier Castillo
See below for CEU information
When you think about the word “actor” or “actress”, do you also think about the word “interpreter”? There is certainly a parallel between the two: we prepare for the role, we use our voice, we wear “costumes” and we have fellow players. We may not be the stars of the show, but our role is important, so it is vital that we know it well. You can learn about how these two professions are connected, and what lessons we can learn from Tom Cruise or Christian Bale. Let’s explore how to improve our performance with some tricks from show business.
Here are some of the points of connection between acting and interpreting:
Common characteristics
Similar preparation
Importance of appearance
Stage presence
Fellow players and our role
You will receive a document containing the links to the slides and the video recording.
